What are SGS benchmark yields?

They are the daily closing yields MAS publishes for the Singapore Government Securities issues it designates as benchmarks, at standard tenors from 6-month to 30-year. They are the standard reference for where SGS trades in the secondary market on a given day.

How are benchmark yields different from auction cut-off yields?

An auction cut-off is a one-off result: the highest accepted yield at a specific MAS auction. Benchmark yields are secondary-market closing levels published every trading day, so they move daily with the market even when no auction is held. The auction results are on our SGS auctions page; this page tracks the daily closes.

How often is this page updated?

The underlying MAS data is fetched several times a day and the page rebuilds on every change. MAS publishes benchmark closes once per trading day, so expect one new data point per weekday; weekends and Singapore public holidays have no close.
